This is such news!

Chuck Hagel Takes On McCain, Repeatedly Praises Obama

Chuck Hagel is quickly becoming Barack Obama’s answer to Joe Lieberman.

The Republican Senator from Nebraska was a political thorn in McCain’s side on Tuesday night, repeatedly lavishing praise on the presumptive Democratic candidate and levying major foreign policy criticisms at the GOP nominee and the Republican Party as a whole. At one point, Hagel even urged the Arizona Republican to elevate his campaign discourse to a higher, more honest level.

“We know from past campaigns that presidential candidates will say many things,” Hagel said of some of McCain’s recent rhetoric, namely his policy on talking to Iran. “But once they have the responsibility to govern the country and lead the world, that difference between what they said and what responsibilities they have to fulfill are vastly different.

It really is too bad that Chuck Hagel did not run for the GOP nomination.

We have 2 Vietnam war heros from the same party that are totally opposite. Chuck Hagel versus John McCain. John McCain isn’t fit to shine Chuck Hagel’s brass.

They say that Chuck Hagel is Senator Obama’s answer to Joe Lieberman. I say great. I would love to see that debate.

But here’s a thought for you. Since Senator Hagel is retiring from Congress, perhaps Senator Obama might consider nominating Senator Hagel as his nominee. Now that would be a combination that would be really tough for the spend and steal REpublican Genuises of Propaganda to swift boat.

If not, perhaps Senator Hagel should consider joining the Democratic party in protest and address the people of the country as to his reasons why at the Democratic convention.

Sorry, I was day dreaming there for a moment. One can still dream of possibilities.

As I retire for the night, I take pleasure in the fact that Karl Rove and John McCain are both probably busting a vein in their gigantic heads over Hagel’s remarks.

I wonder what the GOP attack dogs will have to say about this in the am!

Senator Hagel, I’m proud of you! You have restored my faith that there still are reasonable people who call themselves REpublicans. Granted you are over shadowed by those darn Bushies.

So I ask you and all your admirers, to join us to rid our country of the cockroaches that have infested the Republican party and enabled the FAILED POLICIES of BUSH/MCCAIN while we still can!

Senator Obama may not be your first choice, but President McCain is WORSE than President Bush!
