It has now been more than three months since Karl Rove first appeared on television as a Fox News political analyst on Feb 5. In no fewer than 57 appearances, he has increasingly been welcomed into the Fox News fraternity, even joking that the “Hannity & Colmes” show should be renamed the “Colmes & Rove” show. After departing from a Bush administration in political tatters last August, he has reemerged to hold forth at length on the 2008 presidential race. And he may have plenty of seasoned political wisdom to offer Fox’s audience. Rove, however, is playing a strategic role that he and the network refuse to reveal to viewers.
This is precisely why we all need to work together to ensure that John McCain does not gain control of our govt. He will continue the failed policies of Bush/Rove/Cheney.
NO MATTER our differences here on many issues, there is one thing we pretty much all agree on is that Bush is the worst president ever.
Karl Rove is going to pull out all the stops behind the scenes as well as using his new position at Fox to manipulate the neo-con base. If we allow him to dominate the political conversation so we can bicker back and forth, then perhaps we do not deserve freedom and justice for all (not that we have that currently).
As a group we are a very insightfull and intelligent group. It is important that we keep the heat turned up on the failed policies of Bush that McCain whole heartedly embraces.
Bush can’t stand McCain but needs him to continue his cover up of his illegal activities. McCain can’t stand Bush but needs his crazy supporters to seize control of our Federal govt. If these guys can put aside their differences to keep power, then it’s HIGH time we put aside our differences and come together for the next 6 months to rid our country of the pests that have enabled the Bushies to dominate our political conversation for the past 10 years.
If this is allowed to happen, then our country will go bankrupt similar to what happened during the fall of the USSR. I for one would not like to see that happen. It would not be a good thing.
It is time to get rid of the steal and spend Republicans who take from the poor and give to the Rich. It is pathetic when Warren Buffet, the richest man in the world, pays LESS TAXES THAN HIS SECRETARY.
In many ways, we have taxation with NO representation because the Genuises of Propaganda (GOP) have consistently robbed from the middle class to give to the rich. I asked this question yesterday in another thread and no one answered, so I will ask it again?
Wasn’t the Revolutionary War started over the very same principles that we are fighting today with the Bushies and the crazies that support and enable their failed policies.
There are those who will try to deflect their actions by blaming others like the Democratic party. However, it is also time we admitted that it is very difficult if not near impossible to make changes when one side purposely blocks and and all effots with no concern for those who gave them their job but instead to a political party whose loyalty is to those with the big money.
Many Republican Senators and Representatives have worked earnestly for compromise, but there are many like Minority Leader Senator Boerhner who operate behind the scenes like Karl Rove and threaten to prevent anyone who crosses party lines with political repurcussions.
I do not believe this was the original vision of our founding fathers who, I might add, were not without their differences.
We idolize these men as if they had some divine insight when in fact they were just men who could not live under King George and his policies. Today we have our own King George and we are just about to get rid of him once and for all.
But we do not need a King John to replace him. It reminds me of the story of Robin Hood where Prince John who wanted to be King was robbing from the people of the Kingdom in order to finance his illegal takeover of the throne from King Richard.
We do not need Robin Hood to rescue us. We just need to work together for the rest of the year to ensure that our country remains semi – free, at the very least. Once we have ensured that the GOP led secretly by Karl Rove is not going to control our govt for the next 4 years, we can go back to bickering as usual on some serious issues.
REMEMBER TO REELECT THE FAILED POLICIES OF BUSH/MCCAIN IN 2008 WITH ALL YOUR SILLY, PATHETIC SQUABBLING WHILE THEY SPEND $4566 PER SECOND IN IRAQ! ONWARD TO IRAN!
