Few here seem to want a mandated health care program that we all know we can’t afford. Once this program is approved by the Congress it will be impossible to back out. I have an idea that might work.
Why not ask the individual states to take on the health insurance for the children under 18 years of age? If they can come up with the funds within their state taxes then ask them to gradually include adults not covered by Social Security.
The tricky part of this program will be how it is financed. Several states already have this program; Michigan and Vermont. I shudder to think of our federal government even ordering lunch let alone a massive insurance scam. States like California and Arizona will feel the impact and cost of illegal aliens and might get off their arses and close the borders.
It is time we fixed our own problems and get out from under the corruption in D.C. What say you?
