Retiring Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank, the openly-gay member of Congress whose former boyfriend ran a prostitution ring out of the representative’s Capitol Hill townhouse, Saturday became the first sitting member of Congress to enter into a same-sex marriage.
Frank, 72, married his 42-year-old gay lover Jim Ready at the Boston Marriott hotel. Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick married the couple.
Frank announced his retirement from Congress earlier this year.
