Breastfeeding: Sarah Palin’s big campaign issue?

If Sarah Palin decides to run for President — and she keeps dropping more and more hints that she will, she may decide to turn brestfeeding of babies into a campaign issue.

And it is already raising eyebrows.

At an appearance in Long Island last week, one where she surprisingly actually allowed the press in the front door, first said debates over silly issues like her husband’s citizenship is “distracting.. It gets annoying. Let’s stick to what really matters.”

But then she went after Michele Obama over the First Lady’s campaign to make it easier for women to breastfeed.

“It’s no wonder Michele Obama is telling everybody you better breastfeed your baby – yeah, you better — because the price of milk is so high right now,” Palin told the Long Island Association President in an interview reported in the Washington Post.

  1. Dairy farmers have been struggling for years to survive, and now that they’re finally making money to pay back the debts they incurred during those years, here comes an airhead like Palin making snide comments about the price.

    There is no “think before you engage mouth” concept for her, it there? 🙂

  2. Even Sarah is not dumb enough not to realize that she has no chance in the presidential campaign. However, the longer she can keep everyone wondering, the longer the $$$ will keep rolling in.

    It’s her position to be contrary…a no brainer therefore perfect for PAYlin.

    The GOP will soon be known as the Party of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs with Sarah “Snow White” Palin leading such GOP Dwarfs as Huckabee, Gingrich, Pawlenty, Daniels, Barbour, Romney and Ron Paul. When Snow White leads, The Seven Dwarfs follow.

    I’ve seen no indications that Sarah will run – she’s just bobbing the campaign carrot-on-a-stick a little bit. She’ll never discuss solutions to other “silly issues” like HOW to create jobs, HOW to make relevant budget cuts, HOW states can make up for lost revenue with fed cuts, etc. Maybe she’ll start her own “The Price of Milk is Too Damn High Party”.

    • I’m hoping she will run for President, so we have the entertainment and amusement value of her dumb and stupid comments!!!!!!! She is so laughable, and she is such a solid and impressive icon of the Republican Party!!!! She and Dick Cheney need to spend more time hunting together… no shooting allowed…. of course, But, they can start trapping Moose together.. so they can start collecting Moose milk to feed all the babies in America!
