Iran could have nuclear weapon by 2012: Britain

LONDON (Reuters) – Western powers should work on the assumption that Iran could have a nuclear weapon by next year and an Israeli intelligence assessment of 2015 could be over-optimistic, British Defense Secretary Liam Fox said on Monday.

  1. Israel has received close to 85 billion since it’s founding in the late 40′s. Egypt too has received similar aid for the purpose of regional stabilization, again courtesy of U.S. tax slaves.

    I support this motion entirely. End all aid to every foreign country including Israel. It’s past time.

  2. Thanks Eve for the input to this thread. What’s interesting are the comments to your supplied link concerning Israel supplying crowd control equipment to the Egyptians? Of course both the Israeli and Egyptian leadership enjoy sucking on the U.S. taxpayers in the form of foreign aid. Israel has received close to 85 billion since it’s founding in the late 40’s.     My distillate of the comments to this link are that people everywhere have had a bellyful of the post WWII, synthetic paradigm of hardcore dictators or dictators in sheeps clothing as in the U.S. and Europe manipulating their citizens while stealing them blind. To put it simply enough is enough. It’s my hope that the people of Egypt manage to force Mubarak out, develop some national starch and give Israel some genuine worries to contend with rather than picking on unarmed Palestinians.     They use the words “should” to describe American action, based on what “could” happen, based on “Israeli” intelligence.

    So why did our CIA drop the ball in 2006 by trying to pass on so-called flawed plans on how to build a nuke that ultimately fell into Iran’s hands.

    • Correction: The story broke in 2006, but unfolded in 2000 towards the tail end of the Clinton administration and then forward to the Bush era.
