Congress has passed a $4.2 billion aid package for survivors of the September 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and responders who develop illnesses because of breathing dust from the ruins.

The House passed the bill on a 206-60 vote Wednesday about two hours after the Senate cleared it. President Barack Obama has said he is eager to sign it.

The package provides money to monitor rescue and cleanup workers and treat illnesses related to Ground Zero. It also reopens a victims’ compensation fund for another five years to cover wage and other economic losses of sickened workers and nearby residents.

New York members of Congress had sought $2 billion more. They accepted the smaller amount in exchange for GOP critics dropping their opposition.

  1. To all you piss-ants in Congress including our waffling chief W.H. occupier.
If you think your pathetic efforts in these final days of 2010 have somehow waxed and buffed your image you are gravely mistaken !
We the people know you for what you are, and that is a pack of quibbling, lazy, overpaid egotistical narcissists.

You treat We the people like cur dogs, waiting us out to the last moment then throwing us a bone to chew ( overdue last minute half ass legislation ) while the meat is carved and gorged upon amongst you and your foreign masters.

You Democrats representing the insane Order of the Yellow Spine have been made to crawl before the corporate masters and lick the boots of the Republicans. Where the hell is your pride ?

You Republicans who twist, lie, obstruct, and refute the truth at every turn seek to divide our nation into your own personal fiefdoms and are guilty of treason at the highest level. I’m talking to you Mitch McConnell, Cantor, etc. I’ll not ask where your pride is for you have one bent and that is the fire of all consuming vanity.

We somehow will survive with our resilient American spirit intact. So be warned, fore you have created a fearful enemy by turning your backs on your brethren. Take heed and counsel those that follow you well, if you insist on this path of governance, a time will come when hunger for liberty will override fear to unite the downtrodden and they will come for the meat of justice.

Are you such fools not knowing the nearer you push us to the precipice your own proximity to the fall narrows ? Hack..
