Obama’s message du jour

Critics of Democratic Presidential wannabe Barack Obama say he is too slick, too packaged and too willing to modify his message for the crowd. But that may also be true of most candidates running for the office on both sides of the political divide. Reminds me of something I once heard a political consultant tell a candidate:

I’m sure you have a lot of good ideas but until you’re elected just keep those ideas to yourself because it’s my job to get you in office and I don’t need your ideas getting in the way of the message. Once you’re in office you can do whatever the hell you want.
