Biden Asked Olbermann For Anger Advice: NYT

In an interview conducted before his suspension from MSNBC, Keith Olbermann revealed that Vice President Joe Biden once asked him for tips on how to channel his anger.

Olbermann told the New York Times Magazine’s Deborah Solomon that, when he was still in the Senate, Biden had “asked me for advice about how to turn anger into righteous inspiration.”

“Joe Biden took you to lunch to ask you for tips on getting angry?” Solomon asked.

“He said, ”I just come across like I’m angry and out of control, and you seem to focus it and make it look useful and expressive,'” Olbermann said.

Solomon also asked Olbermann, who is well known for his impassioned commentary, whether he had an anger-management problem.

“No, not at all,” Olbermann replied. “That’s another thing that would have come to the surface long ago in television if it was actually clinical in any way. No, I’ve worked for people with anger-management issues. I am a happy amateur on the subject.”

Olbermann also told Solomon that the “Worst Persons In The World” segment will “probably permanently” be removed from “Countdown.”
