We shoot a lot of photos of Washington’s monuments. That’s easy. The town has lots and lots of monuments. But a reader told us recently that the Jefferson Memorial was her favorite and asked for a new photo of it. She’s not alone. A 2001 poll by the National Park Service asked visitors to the National Mall to rate the monument and Mr. Jefferson’s came out on top. But then, what else would you expect from the man who wrote the Declaration of Independence?
