Well, scenes from a Target, actually, as a young lady and her brother take a break from Christmas shopping and grab a snack in the snack bar. Retailers so far report a disappointing holiday shopping season with buyers avoiding big ticket items and heading for the sale bins. This, combined with a shorter than normal holiday shopping season and bad weather in many parts of the country means retailers will not be singing “Joy to the World” at year’s end.
