Bill Clinton wasn’t the only politician to think getting a blow job from a young intern wasn’t sex. Others also claimed getting a little head wasn’t the same as crawling into bed with someone.
"We had oral sex. He prefers that modus operandi because then he can say, ‘I never slept with her.’" says Anne Manning, a married woman who had an affair with former GOP Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
While the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky scandal exposed many hypocrites in Washington, few rose to the level of Gingrich, the Georgia congressman who preached family values and scewed any young woman willing enough.
"We would have won in 1974 if we could have kept him out of the office, screwing her (a young volunteer on Gingrich’s staff) on the desk, " says Dot Crews, the campaign scheduler for Newt’s failed Congressional race that year.
Gingrich wasn’t the only horn toad on Capitol Hill, just one of the biggest hyprocrites. While publicly chastising Clinton for his dalliance with White House intern Lewinsky, Gingrich was nailing House Agriculture Committee staffer Calista Bisek, a long and lean Capitol Hill Blonde more than 20 years younger. He told people he would read the Bible while waiting for her to finish singing each week at The National Cathredal.
Gingrich later dumped his wife and married Bisek.
But there were others — many others — over the years. Kip Carter, his former campaign treasurer, remembers a football game in Gingrich’s district. She was walking Gingrich’s two daughters back from the game and cut across the parking lot when she spied the Congressman’s car.
"As I got to the car, I saw Newt in the passenger seat and one of the guys’ wives with her head in his lap going up and down," Carter says. "Newt kind of turned and gave me this little-boy smile. Fortunately, Jackie Sue and Kathy were a lot younger and shorter then."
