OK, a correspondent directs me to John McCain’s article, Better Health Care at Lower Cost for Every American, in the Sept./Oct. issue of Contingencies, the magazine of the American Academy of Actuaries. You might want to be seated before reading this.
Here’s what McCain has to say about the wonders of market-based health reform:Opening up the health insurance market to more vigorous nationwide competition, as we have done over the last decade in banking, would provide more choices of innovative products less burdened by the worst excesses of state-based regulation.
McCain just doesn’t get it. Maybe because he has lived off his rich wife and his Senate health care. He reminds me of POTUS Bush SR. (41). What I find odd is that HE IS the TRUE Elitist who is out of touch with the Average Joe.
THIS IS NOT GOING TO HELP OR SOLVE THE HEALTH CARE CRISIS!
Yes, it is a crisis. Over 10 million have been added to the uninsured ranks since GW Bush became POTUS. Many are on the verge of losing their insurance as well. And all these uninsured are adding to the ever increasing cost of health care just like all these forclosures were hurting the banking industry.
If McCain gets control of our gov’t, it’s very likely those uninsured numbers would double. That’s all we need. To have the same type of helath care situiation as we now have with the mortgage situation. And with a plan like McCain is advocating, it’s not an IF anymore, it’s just a matter of WHEN!
This guy opens his mouth and lies and/or gaffes come flowing out. He’s actually worse than GW Bush on the gaffes because GW didn’t have any Federal experience and McCain has been in Congress for over 20 years. So he should not have any excuse for these dumb statements that he has made day after day after day. Maybe he thinks that if he plays stupid, he will make Sarah Palin look intelligent.
For the past 4 years he has done nothing but kiss neo-con behind and support GW’s policies. I’m beginning to think he is the Anti-Christ.
Remember the Omen? Wasn’t Damien’s father a high ranking gov’t official like McCain’s Admiral Daddy? And wasn’t Damien born outside the USA same as McCain? The man has obviously sold his soul in an attempt to get control of our country.

I think the only thing he has told the truth about is being a POW and not understanding BOTH the economy and techonology.
