Price Of Oil: Hidden Oil Subsidies

actual subsidies to Big Oil are between $78 to $158 billion (again, with a 'b') per year.

So the real cost of gas for someone living in the US is the pump price plus the taxes it pays that are used to subsidize the oil industry.

I wonder what we could do with $78-$158 Billion dollars. I don't want to hear another word about raising taxes. I WANT THE CORPORATE WELFARE PROGRAMS TO THE VERY RICH TO STOP ONCE AND FOR ALL!

You work for a pay, and many of your dollars are taken from you and given (directly and indirectly) to Big Oil. That has to stop.

Ain't going to happen under BUSH/MCCAIN. How much you want to bet that somehow, someway, Cindy McCain's companys get federal subsidies. These subsidies don't just apply to oil. They are EVERYWHERE including agriculture, alt energy, etc.,etc.

We need to get off oil and onto better, greened, renewable sources of energy. We literally use millions of barrels of oil EVERY DAY! THIS NEEDS TO STOP! Because it is just giving MORE to the RICH many of who support BUSH/MCCAIN.

So, remember every time you fill your tank, you are helping some rich fat cat to get even richer (wink)
