Since Obama is now the presumptive Democrat nominee and McCain the presumptive Republican nominee, not much attention has been paid to yesterdays's Idaho primary.

Ron Paul walked away with 24% of the vote and 5 delegates to the national convention, bringing his total official pledged delegate count to 35. Idaho County was his best showing with 35% of the vote to McCain's 65%. Idaho also has three unpledged national delegates and six unpledged district delegates up for grabs.

These results are further proof that McCain's "presumption" is not sitting well with many Republicans and it remains to be seen how many unpledged delegates Paul can pick up on his way to the convention. Either way, Paul seems poised to shake up the Republican Convention come September.

I'm in the mood for some French Fries, or should I say Freedom Fries? Thanks Idaho!

Thanks Griff for bringing

Thanks Griff for bringing the information here. I followed the results for Idaho myself. It is encouraging! It seems as if we have a dream to follow again. This time it has little to do with a party label and everything to do with an endgame of liberty.

And I hope we win that

And I hope we win that endgame. Go Ron Paul!

Just another tidbit. Paul

Just another tidbit. Paul has been denied an invitation to the Minnesota State Convention May 30, 2008. It also seems that the Minnesota Republican Party deems Paul, a ten term U.S. Congressman, to be "unqualified" to speak at the convention.

Marianne Stebbins, Minnesota Campaign Coordinator for Ron Paul 2008 PCC stated, “Ron Carey is misusing his office of Chairman to encourage turnout only of delegates for one candidate. The Republican Party Bylaws clearly forbid this activity. If Mr. Carey wishes to actively campaign for one candidate and for his slate of candidates for national delegate, he should relinquish the Chair to someone who can more impartially handle the duties of the office.”

This should surprise no one.

This should surprise no one. If they can keep a Republican out, think what a Libertarian has to face.......
