Pro lifer, criticizes Sarah Palin’s extremism
Charley James, in Online Journal wrote: “Alaskans speak (in a frightened whisper): Palin is “racist, sexist, vindictive, and mean”,

This article has wide coverage on the internet but instead of being persuasive, it despite wanting to cheer, makes me, despite what I want to feel, feel she is being picked on.
However Dave Lindorff wrote a somewhat similar article about Palin being a hunter, but didn’t seem mean-spirited, because much of the article was on how much he liked to hunt as a child,

When Dave Lindorff called Palin, “The Real ‘American Taliban’”, and when he talked about Palin’s daughter’s marriage, the essay should have instead been written by a conservative who takes religion and traditional marriage seriously,

Therefore before I try to dwell on writing about a 42 year old woman with four kids deciding to have another, fully aware in advance that Down’s syndrome at that age was very likely, I am going to state that I used to picket abortion clinics urging that I would do what I could to help them keep their child if they would let me. When I attended antiwar demos some of the clinic escorts gave me dirty looks.
Sarah knew that Down’s syndrome was very likely, and now parades her child around as if it was a gift from God to help be chosen to spread God’s will upon the earth. I would like to add something concerning her comment about American troops are “fighting for God” in Iraq, and about both her and bin Laden having large families to serve God better, but I am not the person to complete the thought. An American fundamentalist and a devote Muslim must do it for me. If I push too hard it will backfire, just making me look mean spirited.
In the 60s when a former administration official came out for peace, such as Daniel Ellsberg, the antiwar movement cheered. Today when a former White House official comes clean people say “Why didn’t they speak up sooner”. When someone joins a progressive cause they learn to keep quiet about any politically incorrect views. Gone are the antiwar activists GIs pointed out how at one point they found the army fun, or at one point felt really felt proud of saving a buddy’s life by shooting someone, and a few who ended up antiwar activists even enjoyed their job until a traumatic incident got in the way.
If someone basically progressive joins a specific Conservative cause they are put to work if possible talking to other progressives about that issue. Anyway Sarah Palin is an extremely determined, dedicated, hard working individual who is for the most part on her own on, no abortion for rape, and there is something in God’s plan about hunting for sport. The more we cheer people who criticize her who are conservative on the issue they are dwelling on, the more likely we are to live in a world without greater war and hunger.
We have a long way to go. Those of us who hang around progressive causes, almost by habit expect the most right-on person to be the spokesperson. This makes very little sense when the person we are up against is so far away from the mainstream.

Most of us are inconsistent in life but expect politicians to act differently. After 9/11, President Bush urged people not to deface Muslim businesses and humbly visited a mosque. Then later turned around and used anger at bin Laden to get people mad at Saddam, and to increase defense spending, and get Americans to put up with an extended war. He even is beginning to use anger at Muslims in general. At one point McCain seemed to identify with animals being tortured as if he was being tortured and prisoners as well. Later US grandeur became more important.
Besides hunting for sport being associated with God's Will in Palin's mind, she implied that North Vietnam and Muslim's represent evil. That Palin is consistent in a harsh way could make things sort of grim for everyone else. So the so-called idle gossip about Palin, show she is different from us inconsistent human beings, in a significant way.

There are a lot of people with fake identities blogging around the Internet, so without a pre-Palin comment on the internet, I appear “as a pro-lifer against Palin’s extremism” to be one of them. Unfortunately lively exchanges between me and another CapitalHillBlue blogger, on several subjects including Hillary and elsewhere on abortion are now missing. If she wants to return to privacy, I wish they could be made assessable with her name left off.
I also defended Hike Hukebee at Huffington Post, and at the Alternet,

There is a 1983 story about me picketing Planned Parenthood that the Philadelphia Inquirer Daily News charges for.
I hope others who have views that can be associated with Sarah Palin, announce that they are against her extremism especially people who enjoy hunting. And people who feel being a Christian and wild about sports, fit’s nicely together, unlike myself.

There is a real chance that Obama when he becomes President, rather then crack down on corporate abuse will just try to appoint justices to the Supreme court who oppose too much cooperate power, and support civil liberties and the rights of poor people.
One of the things he will look at, but not central, will be their views on abortion.
Being that corporations have a heavy influence in Congress, picking a Ralph Nader type person for the Supreme Court could be rejected by Congress, and in the end he could choose someone weak on woman’s privacy rights, but strong on privacy rights in general. Ron Paul wouldn’t accept, and if he did he wouldn’t live very long, but if Huckabee was chosen, in addition the rights of poor people would be protected as well. Due to the same process of deciding what is most important, McCain while trying to get someone appointed to the Supreme Court who supports Presidential powers could in the end appoint someone similar to Harriet Myers, to get a couple of pro-choice Senators to vote yes.
Sarah Palin is a totally different matter. But if she gets all the Muslims, Russia, and China mad at the same time, with the powerful Saudis in the middle they might together decide that the dollar is not legal tender, and the US might evaporate without a fight, only with conditions in the US much worse than what happened to the Russian People when the Soviet Union collapsed.
